Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos.
Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people.
Overview
Enkorok Mara Camp is located 2.5 kms from the Ololaimutia gate, 20 km from the Keekorok Airstrip and 25 kms away from the Sekenani Gate. It is set on 30 acres of private land in Masai Mara Siana’s Conservancy, overlooking the Oloolotikoshi Hills. The Camp is set on the banks of Oloirigynyisho River where Zebras, Wildebeests, Elephants and other wildlife regularly come to drink water.
